Full Time Employees can sign up for benefits on their first day of employment. They may enroll in either a single or a family health coverage plan on their date of hire. Coverage goes into effect the first day of the month after the hire date (i.e. if your date of hire is June 3rd, your insurance effective date is July 1). All full time employees (30 hour per week minimum for staff and 4 classes for teachers) will receive medical and dental insurance under the policies provided through the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas. Participation in the insurance plan is mandatory for all eligible employees without proof of coverage. The premium for the medical insurance and DHMO dental insurance for the employee is fully paid by the School. Optional PPO dental insurance is available at an additional cost to employee. Optional dependent coverage is available for family members of the employee at an additional cost to the employee.
Employer paid Life Insurance, up to $50,000
As an eligible employee with Medical coverage, the Diocese of Dallas provides you with Basic Life and AD&D insurance in the amount of your annual salary up to $50,000 but no less than $20,000. There is no cost to you for Basic Life coverage and you are automatically enrolled if you are covered under the Diocesan Medical plan. However, you must complete the beneficiary information on your enrollment form.
