Announcing Dr. Danny Ledbetter, Chief Advancement Officer

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Dr. Danny Ledbetter to the John Paul II community! Joining us on July 1st, Danny will serve as our new Chief Advancement Officer, bringing a wealth of experience to oversee crucial areas like the advancement team, admissions, and marketing.

Dr. Ledbetter’s dedication to Catholic education aligns perfectly with our mission. Coming to us from St. Mary’s School in Sherman, TX, Danny served as principal for four years, fostering a strong sense of community while growing enrollment, securing grants, and spearheading impactful fundraising initiatives.

Before St. Mary’s, Danny’s impressive career path included roles in the McKinney ISD, where he was recognized for his innovative programming and student-centered approach as both a high school assistant principal and a middle school assistant principal. His district grant writing expertise also yielded significant success.

Danny’s passion for education extends beyond K-12. He served as a researcher at the Rand Corporation, analyzing programs within the Dallas ISD, and even contributed his knowledge as an undergraduate public administration teacher while performing data analysis at UTD.

Academically, Dr. Ledbetter holds a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from the University of Texas (Austin) and both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Public Service and Administration from Texas A&M University (Gig ’em, but remember, we’re Cardinals here!).

Most importantly, Danny embodies the values we cherish at John Paul II. A man of strong faith, he and his wife, Anne, are proud parents of three future Cardinals: Emily (12), Tristan (11), and George (8). The Ledbetters will soon be calling the JPII region home, and Danny is already enthusiastic about developing our advancement team and propelling it forward.
