Meet the People of JPII
Claire Novak, Class of 2027, has taken advantage of a wide variety of activities during her time at JPII. Alongside her rigorous academic endeavors, she has made time for sports, the arts, leadership, and, of course, friends!
Family Ties
Texas has always been my home; I was born and raised here. I learned about JP II from my older brother, Trevor, who graduated from here in 2025. He currently attends Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). I also have one dog. Her name is Nova, and she is a Duck Tolling Retriever.
Community with Something for Everyone and Meaningful Traditions
My first impression of JPII was of a really tight-knit community where everyone seemed to support each other. What I really liked was that students could be involved in many different activities instead of having to choose one or the other.
My favorite tradition here is homecoming week because we get to dress up for different themes each day. I like seeing how creative everyone gets with their outfits and how the whole school gets involved. It makes the week more fun and makes everyone look forward to Homecoming.

Learning in and out of the Classroom
JPII is special to me because I’ve been able to be part of multiple activities such as orchestra, swim, and stuco (Student Council).
I’m very passionate about swimming. I got into it a few years ago, and it has become a very important part of my life. One thing I’ve learned from swimming is that progress takes time and that you don’t always see the results right away.
Enjoying Senior Year and Preparing for Life after Graduation
One thing I'd like to accomplish before graduating is to get into a great college and make as many memories as I can with my friends before we all leave.
A hobby I love is playing sand volleyball because it's a fun way to spend time with my friends outside of school and swimming.
After I graduate from JPII, I plan to attend college and major in biology or biochemistry. From there, I hope to continue into medical school and eventually become an orthopedic surgeon.
