Melodies in Motion: The Sound of Student Success
Imagine stepping into a classroom filled with the lively sound of music and seeing students create their own musical magic. At John Paul II High School, a special class teaches students the art of making music, led by expert teachers Mr. Jeremy Morse and Mr. Gerardo Olivares. In this class, the students have already made their first song recording - a beautiful version of Norah Jones' song called "Don't Know Why." But they are not stopping there; they are busy working on a song they are writing all by themselves. There is so much amazing talent waiting to be discovered in our school!
With the help of Mr. Morse and Mr. Olivares, students explore the exciting world of recording songs and making music. Recently, they showed just how much they learned by performing their version of "Don't Know Why."
Student Musicians Shine
The real stars of the class are the student musicians. Each student brings their special talents to the group, making their musical projects extra special. Their first big project was to showcase their musical talents, and they did a fantastic job! By performing songs together, students learn how to make their voices and instruments sound great together. This also helps them learn important skills, such as working as a team and communicating more effectively.

When students cheer on each other and receive a lot of help from their teachers, they feel really motivated. This encouragement makes them feel more confident and helps them make new friends. Together, they create beautiful music and discover new things about themselves along the way.
