John Paul II High School Hires Bryant Bailey as Senior Director of Safety and Security

PLANO, TX – October 7, 2025 – John Paul II High School (JPIIHS) is pleased to announce the hiring of Bryant Bailey as the school's new Senior Director of Safety and Security. Mr. Bailey will assume leadership of the comprehensive safety and security programs, with his tenure officially beginning on October 22, 2025. This strategic hire reinforces JPIIHS’s unwavering commitment to the safety of its students, staff, and facilities.

Mr. Bailey joins the JPIIHS community with over 30 years of experience in strategic and mission-driven law enforcement, tactical operations, and security management, which started with 15 years in the New Orleans Police Department. His distinguished career also includes service as a Master Police Officer for the McKinney Police Department, where he served as a School Resource Officer and Public Liaison, successfully building trust and safety programs within school environments. He has a proven track record of developing and directing comprehensive school safety programs, as well as establishing effective crisis response protocols.

A Strategic Focus on Safety and Preparedness

As the new Senior Director of Safety and Security, Mr. Bryant Bailey will immediately begin leading and managing JPII's security strategy, ensuring his operations are fully integrated with the school’s core mission and goals.

His immediate focus will center on strategic development and readiness. This includes a commitment to developing, implementing, and overseeing the school's overall safety and security strategy and policies. He will conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify and mitigate risks, and he will be responsible for keeping our detailed emergency response plans and procedures to ensure effective incident management. Furthermore, Mr. Bailey will implement training programs for all faculty and staff to build a campus-wide culture of safety and security.

Mr. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He also brings certifications in Active Shooter Response, Tactical Instruction, and expertise in threat assessment and crisis response.
