Ways to support our school

The Annual Fund

Each year, the Annual Fund—John Paul II High School's #1 annual-giving priority—provides vital resources that bolster every aspect of the exceptional JPII education and benefit every student.

Gifts from JPII faculty, staff, parents, alumni, grandparents and friends come together every year to further our mission and vision. These gifts directly improve technology, security, and facilities across our campus and allow us to retain our exceptional faculty while elevating our quality of education. Events that support the Annual Fund include North Texas Giving Day and the Annual Legacy Gala.

Tuition Assistance

Tuition assistance is an important investment in Catholic education. The commitment to provide accessible and affordable education to all families is a hallmark of our faith in regards to the educational mission of the Catholic church. Through the generosity of our benefactors, we will continue to offer students the lasting gift of a Catholic education by affording families that qualify tuition assistance.

The annual Balint Cup Golf Tournament at Gleneagles Country Club supports tuition assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the Annual Fund SO important?

The annual Fund represents the most critical dollars for the school’s financial health. It provides unrestricted support so that the school has the flexibility and opportunity to invest these dollars where they are needed most.

Annual giving helps fund every area of the school including professional development, student services, curriculum development, campus ministry, fine arts, facilities, technology and athletics. These unrestricted gifts are applied wherever the need is greatest, and they are essential to the school’s excellence and financial strength.

Doesn't tuition cover all the expenses?

Tuition covers a majority of the expenses of educating a student but it does not cover 100% of the education cost. JPII relies on the unrestricted gifts of the annual fund to cover the remaining gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating each student.

How much should I give?

Parents are asked to help fill the gap between what it costs to educate your child(ren) and the tuition you pay. Every gift makes a difference and the school respectfully asks parents to give what you can. Regardless of the amount, each donation is a statement of support for JPII!

Can I make a larger annual gift by paying in installments?

Yes! You may make a gift or pledge. If you wish to pay your gift in installments, you may make a
pledge and inform us how and when you plan to make additional installments; all pledges are due by June 30 (the end of our fiscal year). For further information on pledges or discuss arrangements for your gift, please contact Katie Boggs Schiele via email: katieSchiele@johnpauliihs.org.

What are matching gifts?

Matching gifts are a great way to increase your annual fund gift. Many companies support their employees giving by matching, and sometimes doubling, their gifts; by matching the donations, these businesses support their employees in their philanthropic efforts. If you company offers this benefit, request a matching gift form from your employee and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will submit the form and complete the process for you.

The President's Circle

The Office of Advancement launched the President’s Circle in 2012 to facilitate continued support of the school’s general operations. President’s Circle members are individuals or families that provide at a designated level of generosity. The generosity of President’s Circle members contributes to the Annual Fund or other areas of the school that supports every student, teacher, and program. This funding provides the flexibility to respond to changing circumstances and take advantage of new opportunities. Every gift makes a difference.
