students gain experience through performing alongside classmates for All-School Masses and various concert performances throughout the school year. The JPII Cardinal Choir also competes together onstage for the annual TPSMEA Concert and Sightreading Competition each spring.
In addition to group performances, students have the opportunity to participate in various events as soloists throughout the school year. One such opportunity is to serve as a JPII Cantor, leading the school in worship during All-School Masses. Additionally, students are encouraged to participate in the TPSMEA All-State Choir audition process and TPSMEA Solo & Ensemble Contest.
Students involved in the JPII Cardinal Choir program also have the opportunity to participate in many different activities outside of class. Members of the choir participate in activities such as NHS, Student Council, Football, Soccer, Cross Country, Softball, and Tennis, to name just a few. Our goal is to work with students to help them take full advantage of everything our school has to offer.
Overall, through collaborative performance, the JPII Cardinal Choir strives to create a learning environment that encourages self-discovery and develops social bonds that extend outside the classroom. In so doing, we grow as a community as we dedicate our time and talents to the betterment of our Cardinal Family.
