DR. HAMMERLE ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT AND PRINCIPAL SEARCH COMMENCES

To the John Paul II Community

RE: Retirement Announcement

I have loved all things JPII. I have loved working with the teachers and staff; I have loved the students; I have loved supporting all of the activities; I have enjoyed getting to know the parents and community. We have shared lots of laughter and some tears throughout my time at JPII. I cannot say I have thoroughly enjoyed maneuvering through the pandemic and COVID. But knowing that you were willing to ‘pivot and not panic’ has helped me to lead and face the challenges together with you. And together, we have helped John Paul II High School continue to be successful, in spite of these challenges.

But all good things must come to an end. And my time has come. I will be retiring at the end of this school year. You are a great staff! And because you are so good, I know that whoever takes my place will have your support just as you have supported me these past 10 years. I will do my part to ensure the new person is acclimated and prepared to take on the many responsibilities he/she will face as Principal.

Thank you for your love, your prayers, and your support. I have said this often but sincerely meant it every time I said it...You are truly the BEST!

"May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Blessings and Continued Prayers,
Dr. Marlene Hammerle
Principal
