Athenaeum / Media Center
The John Paul II High School Athenaeum is a state-of-the-art, wireless multimedia center combining a library with computer and technology facilities, named for the Greek place of gathering for scholars, poets, and playwrights. Our Athenaeum anchors student academic research and provides a public access center for our larger community to use.
The Athenaeum hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Mrs. LeaAnne Daughrity, M.A.
Lea Anne Daughrity is a two time Graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She has been in education since 2007 and has served both Pasadena and McKinney ISD in Texas. She is thrilled to call JPIIHS her new home. During her time as an educator, she has not only served in the capacity as a classroom teacher, but has also served at the school-wide and district-wide level sharing her expertise in instructional technology. She has been honored to serve as an expert on Discovery’s speakers Bureau for the past five years, sharing her knowledge around the country. She has led her district to receive two International Awards of Excellence with ISTE in district-wide collaborative projects in both 2012 and 2013. She is an avid runner and can be found running at most of the major local races here in the Dallas area. She is married to Bob Daughrity and is mother to three boys: Ethan, Major and Kaige.
