Our school recently broke ground on Phase I of the football field and eight lane track which is scheduled to be completed by spring 2008. This $2.6 million project will also be used for soccer, track, drill team, and cheerleading. In addition, other sports currently offered at John Paul II High School include women’s and men’s basketball, tennis, swimming, golf; women’s volleyball and softball; and men’s baseball and wrestling.
This new field paves the way for the school’s future plans for new sports such as lacrosse and field hockey as well as the addition of a marching band. The school’s master plan shows that further campus development plans include the eventual addition of a stadium, field house, concessions area, and press box.
We would like to thank the generosity of three families who have provided the funding and services: Dianne and Lee Maas; Mary and Rich Templeton; and Theresa and Michael Sinacola. We thank them for their vision and significant gifts which helped this project launch sooner than anticipated
