If you are interested in being considered for a teaching position at John Paul II High School, for the 2008 – 2009 school year, please fill out our application packet and return it to Deacon Tom Roche’, Coordinator for Human Resources. If it has been more than a year since you submitted an application, you may want to consider resubmitting an updated version.
Applications now being accepted for the 2008 – 2009 school year for the following positions:
Executive Director of Advancement
Guidance and School Counselor - Masters Degree Required
Varsity Basketball Coach - Boys (until position filled)
Varsity Basketball Coach - Girls (until position filled)
Substitute Teachers
Applicants Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; a valid Diocesan or Texas teacher certification in the appropriate subject area. Composite and multiple certifications preferred. Teaching experience preferred; strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; knowledge of educational processes; knowledge of effective teaching models; experience with use of technology in the classroom preferred. Applicants wishing to teach theology must hold a degree from a Catholic university or college in Roman Catholic theology and be an active member of a Catholic parish in the metroplex. A Masters degree in theology is preferred.

Step Two - Contact John Paul II High School In addition to Step One above, please mail the following items to the address below:
1. a cover letter to John Paul II High School, explaining your teaching preferences, special qualifications, and any other areas of interest, such as athletics, extra-curriculars, etc. 2. a copy of the Professional Application from Step One 3. a current resume.

B) Substitute Teaching Positions
Complete ONLY Step Two above.
C) Administration and Staff Applicants Please complete the abbreviated Employment Form. In addition, please include a cover letter explaining your areas of interest as well as your address, home phone, cell phone and email address. Please note that Background Checks and Safe Environment Training are required for all faculty, staff and volunteers at all Diocesan institutions. You may complete the training at your local parish or John Paul II will be offering the training in both the Fall and Spring semesters.

D) Volunteers
Please complete the Screening Form and submit it to Human Resources. Be sure to note at the top of the form that you are requesting approval to be a volunteer. We will also need a copy or original of your Certificate from having attended the Family of Faith training program within the past 12 months. If you have had the Diocesan-approved Safe Environment Training within the last 12 months (at your parish or another school in the Diocese), please have a copy of your completion certificate sent to us. This will expedite the processing of your documents. Background Checks and Safe Environment Training are required for all faculty, staff and volunteers at all Diocesan institutions. You may complete the training at your local parish or John Paul II will be offering the training in both the Fall and Spring semesters. Please call if you have any questions.
